Both of Metro-Detroit’s major newspapers have endorsed Steven Bieda for State Senate in the 9th Legislative District. The Free Press endorsement came out in early October with the Detroit News making its endorsement on October 26, 2010. Both newspapers noted Bieda’s expertise in government, especially his work on major ethics reforms, and both newspapers had previously endorsed Bieda in the August primary.

Very pleased to receive the endorsement of Michigan’s former Attorney General, Frank Kelley, who served from 1961 -1998, as well as State Senator Dennis Olshove and former State Senator Art Miller, and State Representatives Lesia Liss, Jon Switalski, and former State Representatives Bill Callahan, Lisa Wojno, and Paul Wojno (currently Warren City Clerk), former United States Congressman Dennis Hertel and former Speaker of the Michigan House of Representatives, Curtis Hertel.
